This morning we left for a palace called Padmanabhapuram. Just outside we had our first elephant sighting!!
Here are some pictures from inside the palace.
We stopped for lunch... no plates, they just use these leaves to put the food down. This place was different because you didn't order anything, there were just guys that came around to your table and plopped all of this on your leaf. Most people eat this with their hands but I haven't tried it yet.
After lunch we drove to Kanyakumari, in the neighboring state. This place is near the very bottom tip of India. Our hotel room is below... not the nicest place I've stayed in but the view was amazing.
We walked down to the beach (above) and out on the jetty (below) and got to watch the sunset. Very pretty.
This is a temple we'll be going to tomorrow.
