Today we woke up early to watch the sunrise. Then we got in line to take the ferry over to an island with a temple on it. Our professor said the line usually takes a couple of hours to get through, but we were lucky because it only took about 45.
Everyone in line for the ferry. It kind of felt like WE were the attraction while we were standing in line because everyone was staring. Some of them would ask where we were from, a lot of them wanted a picture with us, but most just stared.
Not sure why, but the split us up into a mens line and to a womens line, even though everyone sat next next to each other on the boat anyways.
The temple from the side.
Peacock sighting!!
Krista, apparently having two lines at the ferry is a throw back to the old days where the women purchased their tickets and boarded first. They no longer do that but have continued the practice of keeping separate lines. (One of the girls I work with is from India.)
